“There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other, wings.” - Hodding Carter

Charlene Pacenti brings 25 years of experience in journalism and publishing to the most important job many of us will ever have: raising a child. Through her position as Education Editor at The Miami Herald and two parenting websites, Charlene gets the answers that South Florida families need.

The Miami Herald

MomsMiami.com

Charlene originated the idea for a South Florida social networking site for parents in 2007. She spearheaded the research and development and MomsMiami.com was launched in 2008. She continues to manage the site, which attracts about 30,000 unique visitors every month.

BocaParent.com

Charlene launched BocaParent.com in 2010, a startup to provide information for parents in Boca Raton, Fla. She is Editor & Publisher, managing all aspects of the operation, from web design and development to content and marketing.
